KYC - Sumsub 

The “Know Your Customer” functionality on DAPL is powered by Sumsub, a global identity-verification and compliance platform that helps businesses onboard users & verify identities (KYC).

📝Important Note: Once successfully logged in to your Sum sub dashboard there are 3x  modes: 
Sandbox Mode
Production Mode 
Pre-Production Mode

The below is an overview of the onboarding process with Sumsub: 

  1. Once access to the Sumsub environment has been granted to your DAPL profile, an automated email from business-support@sumsub.com will be sent to the designated administrator email address provided during initial onboarding. 
     
  2. The email received will include instructions to set up your Sumsub account 

    📝Important Note: Only email addresses ending in your specified domain (e.g.yourbusinessdomain.com) will be able to access Sumsub.

     
  3. In order to proceed with Sumsub account setup, access your two-factor authentication (2FA) app, we recommend utilising the Google Authenticator App: 

  4. Access your Sumsub account dashboard utilising the OTP from the Authenticator app 
     
  5. Once you are logged in to your Sumsub dashboard you can add members. 
     
  6. In order to add members to your Sumsub profile, access your sumsub dashboard
     
  7. In your Sumsub Dashboard, go to the members page and then click “Invite team member.”

  8. Once desired team members have been added onto your Sumsub dashboard, a slack group will be set up for your team.
  • Once your Slack group is set up, ensure relevant team members join. 
  • In order to set your slack group up, provide the relevant team member email addresses to your Arrel representative

📝Important Note: As previously stated, only users with email addresses matching your specified domain can access your Sumsub dashboard, Arrel team members may require a temporary email address under your specific domain to facilitate login for support purposes.

  1. There are a number of different features available for use. 

    You will notice that certain features like Questionnaires or Whitelabelling may be essential for your processes. 

    These features are not enabled by default and must be requested.
    These can be requested via your Arrel representative or with Sumsub directly via your slack group. 
     
  2. After your workflow has been set up, you can test it using test verification links. Tests available may be limited but more can be requested if needed. 
     
  3. After your workflow has been approved by your Sumsub solutions architect, Arrel will connect it to your DAPL profile.

     
    The below is an overview of Sumsub navigation on DAPL: 
     
  4. Once connected you can locate it on your DAPL profile by signing in and selecting the "Compliance” dropdown and the “Know your Customer” tab as shown below: 

  5. KYC applicants can be viewed by selecting the “KYC applicants” tab on the page: 

  6. Once selected the following page will appear, displaying the KYC application logs of documentation completed by applicants:

  7. The Sumsub Admin tab as shown above, can be accessed by selecting the relevant tab as shown below: 


     
  8. The “Sumsub Admin” tab pertains to the integration configurations applicable to facilitate the integration of your Sumsub workflow on your DAPL profile. 

    The page will display your “App Token” - the credential your app uses to access the integration API safely with permission: 

     
  9. The page will also display your “Applicant levels” as shown below, which will display the enabled workflow entry point features:
