Functions: Trading - Orderbooks

Kindly note this section is not applicable and will display “No balances Available”  if you have not yet completed the recommended setup.


In order to place and execute a trading instruction on DAPL follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your DAPL account.
  2. Select the "Orders" dropdown on the menu and then click the "Orderbooks" tab. 


     
  3. Once selected, the Orderbooks page will appear. 
    With this interface, you are able to select the exchange and the particular associated markets you would like to see the respective values for:


     
  4. Utilise the toggles to live-stream the desired real-time updated price to volume values for Bids and Asks in the market selected: 



     
  5. Based on the current values derived from the streamed orderbook updates, you will be able to buy and sell within the selected market utilising the exchange selected. 

    On the right hand side of the orderbooks page, it will reflect the exchange and market selected in the orderbooks.



     
  6. The right-hand side will reflect the exchange and market as selected on the orderbooks page.

  7. In order to trade populate the fields as shown above. 

    When placing a trade, you can enter either the desired base volume or quote volume. Alternatively, you can choose to use a specified percentage of your balance.

    For event based trades, you may add conditions.

    The method selected determines how the trade is executed on your chosen market and asset:

    • Market: Executes immediately at the best available price.
    • Limit: Places the order at your specified price only.
    • Other available methods: These are advanced, proprietary algorithms from Arrel Technology designed to enhance trade execution on connected exchanges.

    Hover over each method name to see its brief definition.


  8. Once all fields are populated and the desired conditions for your trade have been set, you can click the Buy or Sell button to action the trade as shown below:

  9. At the bottom of the “Order Books” page beneath the live-streamed order books and populated date to execute a trade, you can access information pertaining to the trade as shown below: 


     
  10. The trade information displayed in the logs on the orderbooks page cab be filtered according to: Closed and Open orders by selecting the appropriate tabs as shown below: 


     
  11. The trade information displayed in the logs can also be filtered utilising the checkboxes on the page as shown below:
